Perennial herb up to 50 cm tall with a beautiful corymbose inflorescence of white or pink color. The leaf blade is cut into numerous slices, which explains the name of the plant – yarrow. The people of yarrow has many names, among which the most common – "cut", "soldier's grass" – reflect its hemostatic and wound healing properties.

How is it Used in Medicine:
The aboveground part of the plant contains essential oil, the main component of which are hamazulen, tuyon, camphor, borneol. The bitter taste of the herb causes fillin. The grass contains vitamin K and tannins. It is used as a remedy against inflammation of the mucous membranes, hemostatic and bactericidal.
